Leaked ‘Black Adam’ BTS Images Provide First Look at Hawkman’s Costume!

With Black Adam recently wrapping in filming, it was only a matter of time before fans got their first look at Dwayne Johnson in all his black-suited glory. While my money was on our first look potentially coming next weekend at DC Fandome, fans were graced with four photos of some costume pieces and a set piece in a leak late last night. Check them out below!

The first photo shows a series of four suits, all matching in style and colors and seemingly all versions of the Black Adam suit, either for Johnson to rotate through as he filmed, or slightly different to show changes and growth throughout the film. As well, the designs are reminiscent of the newly designed suits seen on the set of Shazam! Fury of the Gods for the Shazam family. However, instead of looking brand new and shiny like the Shazam family suits, the Black Adam suit looks weathered, like it’s been around for thousands of years.

The second photo is of a vehicle, one that likely belongs to Hawkman, being played by Aldis Hodge. The vehicle has a sleek design and is made out of bronze material. Like the Black Adam suit, the vehicle appears to be incredibly old. However, the detailed work on the visor and body gives it a futuristic and technologically advanced feel. It looks impressive just from the picture and it makes me even more excited to see it in action on screen when the movie comes out.

The final two pictures showcase more costume pieces from the film, however, these also appear to belong to Hawkman, per the labeling and distinct look of that helmet. The first of the two shows the Hawkman helmet, which left me in awe. Of the four helmets, two have large detailed wings extending off the sides. The other two are of just the main helmet, complete with the hawk beak nose piece and eye slits. All four are made of a bronze/gold material with a weathered look as well. There are black details to the mask, which help to make the shiny metal stand out. It almost appears Hawkman will have two different helmets, one with wings and one without. However, one of the helmets without the wings has two red dots in the area the wing connects with the helmet, which may indicate that the wings will be added in post-production.

The final picture is of armor pieces from the Hawkman suit. They are made of the same material as the helmet and seem to be either shin or forearm pieces, such that we would have seen in Ancient Greece. All four pictures give fans a good look into the look and vibes that Black Adam will be bringing to theaters. And if that isn’t enough to get you excited, just wait until DC Fandome where we may just get an even better look.

Black Adam comes to theaters on July 22, 2022
